Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever’s powers are increasing, Damen’s are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life. Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen’s past—the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden—but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them—or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day...
I did enjoy Blue Moon, however, not as much as Evermore. This novel has a few flaws that the other novel did not.
Ever annoyed me a little. She seemed to make all the wrong choices, and she disappointed me. Alone, Ever could not make her own decisions. It was like she needed someone to hold her hand the whole time. I know that we needed problems to carry over into the third installment, but the "issues" that will be addressed in Sumerland are unnecessary. They could have been avoided entirely just by using a little common sense. Ever's friends did not do much better this go around either. Both of them deserve a good slap in the face. Even though he was in the novel, Damen was not really in it. He made Evermore for me, and I was upset that he was not exactly himself.
Alyson is an excellent author, and I plan on reading Summerland...however, Blue Moon was not what I was hoping for.

I liked this one better than Evermore, but I do agree with what you said about Ever's choices. I'm not for sure how I feel about it ended and what the plot is building up for the next book. (Hopefully that made sense, lol)
And OoOo pretty new background! I likes!!
I agree with you completely, except I abhor this entire series. Some one will have to pay me to read Summerland. Seriously. I don't understand how Alyson got approved to publish these books. :(
This book was a waste of time. It got us no where, as you mentioned, a smidgen of common sense would have worked wonders. Yet it never happens.
And sadly Alyson will be with us for a while as she's writing a spin off series starring Riley, Ever's ghost sister. :(
I actually enjoyed Blue Moon a lot more than Evermore, though I completely agree about Ever's choices and the lack of Damon.
I really liked Evermore, but I havent heard the best things about Blue Moon, but I still anticipate reading it. Great reivew.
JYTBB & So Many Books, So Little Time: I am glad that you enjoyed this one, but at least I am not crazy. I wasn't the only one who could see that Ever was having a hard time putting two and two together.
Jessica: Sorry that you hated the whole series! I enjoyed Evermore, but if it continues going down hill then I will have to give up on it.
Iluvhersheys_andbooks: You really should read it. You might love it. Happy reading!
