The phenomenon that's been sweeping the country seems to be here to stay. Not only are the teenagers who have come back from their graves still here, but newlydeads are being unearthed all the time. While scientists look for answers and politicians take their stands, the undead population of Oakville have banded together in a group they're calling the Sons of Romero, hoping to find solidarity in segregation. Phoebe Kendall may be alive, but she feels just as lost and alone as her dead friends. Just when she reconciled herself to having feelings for a zombie -- her Homecoming date Tommy Williams -- her friend Adam is murdered taking a bullet that was meant for her. Things get even more confusing when Adam comes back from the grave. Now she has romantic interest in two dead boys; one who saved her life, and one she can't seem to live without.Everyone knows that I love Daniel Waters' writing. Generation Dead is amazing; it's one of my favorite books. I can honestly say that Kiss of Life topped GD easily. Waters has away of allowing his readers to really connect with the characters. I become sucked into their world and I experience it with them...not just witness it from the sidelines. He has captured my imagination and attention again.
Adam has always been my favorite. He is just so in love with Phoebe, and is kind of a big ol' softie. He had me crying in this novel. Adam was struggling so much with being dead, and to see him go from being strong to completely losing control over his body really upset me. Whenever I started with the water works, I had to move the book away from my face. I couldn't risk tears getting on one of my prized possessions (Daniel signed it for me). My heart broke for him. Phoebe frustrated me a little with this whole Tommy thing. I wanted her to see how great Adam was and how good they would be together. It bothered me that she was still sort of hung up on someone else. Her guilt over Adam getting killed made me want to hug her though. She has always been a sweet person, and I love her. I wished there were more real people that genuinely care like she does. Karen was still...well Karen. She did what she wanted, said what she wanted, and dressed how she wanted. I absolutely adore that quality. The character that surprised me this time was Tak. I really didn't care all that much for him in GD, but I learned about a whole other side. He isn't all rebel and devil may care. Tak was just honest and expressed his views openly. He really shocked me in the end.

I am excited for this one, but is it just me or did the town and school go from Oakvale to Oakville?
