Melissa and me (of course)
The one thing that irked me about this whole experience was that I had to buy another book. I originally bought Fragile Eternity from Barnes and Nobel who told me that it would be shipped on time. I waited and waited for the mail to arrive...lo and behold no novel! I got on to my UPS tracker only to find out there was a delay. It wouldn't arrive till the 30th. They lied to me! It all ended well though.
I am really glad that I was given the chance to meet her in person. What an amazing experience this being my first book signing. I really hope that more authors come to Nashville soon. I also hope that they are all as sweet as Melissa.
One of the wristbands given out. Huh? I wonder why I selected the Dark Court.
Yay! She really signed my book!
The little message there (just in case you can't read it thanks to my crappy camera)
"To Christina, chose happiness."
Side note: I would like to give a special thanks to Kevin. I would not have known how to get to the signing. He went with me (even though he was not interested), did not complain (even though he could have), and lied to me about how not dorky I acted in front of Melissa (I was totally speechless). Thank you, baby. You are amazing.

Looks like it was fun! Melissa is great at signings. (:
ReplyDeleteHey I didn't see you until you were walking out and I didn't think I should chase you down in the bookstore lol.
ReplyDeleteSorry I missed you, but wasn't Melissa the best??
That's awesome! So glad you had a good time and so jealous you got to meet Melissa Marr! :) Thanks for sharing! And yay for Kevin, my husband is kind of "anti-reading for fun" I don't think he would have handled it as well! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yay! Fun! Cute picture, BTW. Glad you had a good time! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing =]. I love the photos!!! Thanks to Kevin for being so fandarntastic =}!!! Taco time ;).lol.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome for you, Chrisitina.
Thrilled your 1st signing was a blast. Here's to more this Summer.
Authors... you have a new signing stop now. No excuses.
Christina, you look like MM in the photo... except your so stunning, girl.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to an author signing but they never seem to be anywhere near me. Mum refuses to let me fly to America to meet authors!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! I'm glad you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! I'm posting my review of Wicked Lovely today. I'm *jealous* ;o)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm jealous. :)
ReplyDeleteBleargh, I hate it when there's a shipping delay! Very inconvenient.
Also, spiffy wristband!
OMG! I was there! (I'll post my pic with her on my blog later)
ReplyDeleteIf I had realized that you were there I would have introduced myself :) It's always fun to have a face with an online name
awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI also have the same problem as "So Many Books, So Little Time": my mom won't let me fly to the U.S.! :) It's nice to know you had a great time, but if you don't mind I'd like to point out a little spelling error . . .
ReplyDeleteWhen you were talking about Kevin you wrote that he was your "finance" which I'm assuming is supposed to be "fiance"?
Iryna: Thank you so much! I hate spelling errors.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so so awesome.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have been there!
I love book signings and meeting authors. But yeah, it's totally annoying when the book doesn't come in on time.
ReplyDeleteAw, thats wonderful ^_^ You look so happy!
ReplyDeleteThat happened to my COG! Frustrating, eh?
